A poetic animated film about pausing and connection in an accelerated world.

Ella works at the lost-and-found desk of a vast, grey train station, where she quietly collects misplaced belongings. What seems like a random assortment of forgotten objects slowly reveals something more. In this 3D-animated debut, meaning is found in the smallest moments. Is there still room for wonder in a world driven by speed and efficiency?

Premiered at the Nederlands Film Festival 2025. Screened as a special preview before the feature film Die My Love in independent cinemas across the Netherlands, featured on the Picl platform in Belgium, and part of the See.nl collection of the Eye Filmmuseum.

(ongoing) Series The Fall explores the many possible trajectories of the Anthropocene; the unit of geologic time describing the most recent period in Earth’s history when human activity created an irreversible impact on the planet’s climate and ecosystems.

Using photographs from various archives, these imaginary landscapes questions what remains after our ultimate “fall” from grace.

Triptych Levels of Detail is the result of an exploration of Landschaftpark Duisburg. The Thyssen Ironworks in Duisburg-Meiderich, built in the time of advanced industrialisation, finally saw production of pig iron come to an end with the last tapping of Blast Furnace 5 on 4 April 1985.

On the booklet Ex-Territory; In the complex political landscape of Russia, artist Mieke Woestenburg investigates the remnants of the socialist ‘model city’ at a time when the buildings and its inhabitants function with differing and sometimes opposing ideologies. Woestenburgs elegant black and white photographs illustrate the tension that exists between the monotonous regularity of soviet architecture and the messy unpredictability of the human beings who live within.
